WELCOME TO DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of ECE in G.V.R&S College of Engineering and Technology is best known for its talented and dedicated professionals renowned for their excellence in various specializations in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Established in 2007, the department provides state-of-the-art technological tools incorporated in all laboratories. Over the years, students graduating from the department have been successfully placed in reputed MNCs in India and abroad. The intake was increased from 60 seats in 2007 to 120 seats in 2009. The M.Tech program in DECS was introduced in 2012 with an intake of 18 seats, followed by VLSI and Embedded System Design in 2014 with an intake of 18 seats.

DEPARTMENT GOALS

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, GVR&S College of engineering & technology, overall goals of the Department are broadly related to its three missions of Instruction/Learning, Research/Innovation, and Outreach/Engagement. Effective creation and transfer of technical knowledge and imparting learning skills to the next generation of The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering students is our primary goal. Through research and innovation, we not only advance knowledge but also enhance classroom instruction and the overall undergraduate education and learning mission. To strengthen the learners with fundamental knowledge in the concepts of Engineering Mathematics, Applied Science and Basic Electronics Engineering subjects for problem analysis, comprehend to develop solutions for new hardware, software and other tools in Electronics & Communication Engineering field.

PEO 2 - Core Competence

To enable the learners with core curriculum knowledge in theory and practical of Electronics & Communication Engineering to develop innovative skills, critical analysis, design, simulation, investigation of complex problems, reasoning, development & testing knowledge for offering solutions to real time problems related to globally evolving techno-corridor developments.
